3 Steps To Keep Your Fitness New Year Resolutions Going

It’s 2017 and it’s time to make those new year resolutions. Many of us step up to the plate and decide it’s time to get fit. Depending on your goal and training we may all have different ways of achieving our goals. Whether it’s bulking up, toning, losing weight, or something else, here’s three ways to stay on track and look great this summer:

Stay On Track – One of the hardest things to do is keep yourself working out on a schedule, and not losing your vibe. There are many mind hacks you can do to make sure you stick to your routine. One of the best strategies is to set attainable goals. If you’re not working out at all, don’t try to set goals like working out once a week. Start with 1-2 times a week, and work your way up. Try out some simple, or efficient HIIT workouts. And use tools like the training calendar on the Atlas Dashboard to make sure you’re working out as much as planned.

Switch-It Up – Many experts believe that for best results it’s necessary to switch up your fitness routine every 6 to 8 weeks. This helps break through plateaus and start feeling the burn so your body and muscles maintain the proper challenge. Other signs that show it’s time to switch it up can be as simple as if you’re starting to get bored with your plan, you’re not feeling sore, or you’re not seeing your heart rate get to your target zone.

Eat RightNutrition is a lifestyle choice. There is no one-size-fits-all way of eating and your nutrition depends on your goals. Think you need more protein when you’re trying to lean, or bulk? One thing that’s true for everyone is there is a right and a wrong way to eat, and it’s a conscious decision that everyone makes many times per day.

So get out there and start meeting those new years resolutions!
