I'm Elle Ross, CEO Of B-FIT Fitness, And This Is How I Workout

Start off by telling us about yourself and your journey!
Hi, I’m Elle Ross, founder, and CEO of The Elle Ross LLC & B-FIT Fitness, Branding & Business Coaching @theelleross, theelleross.com. We help women increase energy, confidence, and strength by delivering easy to follow fitness and nutrition plans. As well as, partner with health coaches/entrepreneurs to create irresistible personal brands so they can scale their business and online presence helping increase their impact, income, and influence.

I started my B-FIT Fitness business initially because I myself was once 40 lbs heavier, depressed and jobless. I soon received news that I was pre-diabetic and knew I needed to make some life changes. I started to invest in my health and SELF-Love daily. My body, mind, and soul transformed. After, people started asking me how I did it. This lead me to write my book “The Blueprint: The 90-Day Breakthrough to Shift Your Mindset & Transform Your Life.” Along with beginning coaching others to lead a healthier lifestyle. As my brand and fitness company grew, other coaches started asking how which lead to me to create “Your 6-Figure Brand Blueprint.” A 60-Day Masterclass where I walk coaches step-by-step how to scale their brand and business online.

How did you get into fitness?
I got into fitness through going through my own personal transformation.

What's your fitness specialty?
High-Intensity Interval Strength Circuit Training as well as create customized meal plans.

What's your preferred style of encouragement?
Positive Self-Talk & Belief. Always encouraging my clients slow and steady wins the race and to maintain consistency. Do not fret about the scale, muscle weighs more than fat and focus more on the way you feel as well as seeing inches drop.

What would you recommend to someone that is new to the city, or working out, in terms of meeting and connecting with others?
If you are new, do not be afraid to start, we all start somewhere. Find a space that meets whatever your goals may be. Luckily where I train we are a one-stop shop. My location offers personal training, nutrition, HIIT class, Strength Training as well as boxing. Classes are fun, people are friendly, great for making friends. Plus we are located in the heart of the city, right off of a main walking pathway and not too far from the main park.

How do you track fitness goals?
I have all my clients use my personal: B-FIT with Elle App. That is where I upload all of their workouts, at home or in the gym and their customized meal plans. They have access to message me 24/7. We upload progress images and measurements right into the app to keep track. It also links to MyFitnessPal to track their macros and a FitBit to track activity.

What metrics do you track for your goals?
Everything is tracked automatically within the app. But primarily calories per minute if tracking caloric burn. Then the app also allows clients to check into their daily workouts so I can see how many completed along with which exercises, weight used and reps completed.

How are your favorite workouts structured? By sets and reps? Or Sets and Duration?
My workouts vary weekly. Sometimes AMRAP or EMOM, sometimes by sets and reps, sometimes in timed intervals for a certain number of rounds. I like to switch it up so training doesn't get boring and it makes the sessions fun, yet challenging.

Who are your fitness icons/mentors/heroes/inspiration?
Favorite fitness mentor and inspiration is an old friend and professional bodybuilder Dr. Eboni K. Wilson. He taught me primarily everything I know aside from the certifications received.

What is your favorite food?
My favorite food is a delicious hearty super green salad packed with the works (A TON of VEGGIES) topped with baked wild-caught fish, either white or salmon and drizzled lightly with a balsamic vinaigrette. I can eat that all day everyday.

What is your word for 2019?
#SWEAT : Stands for "Success With Every Action Taken"

What’s your go-to song or artist at the gym?
Must be Hip-Hop: First person who comes to mind is either Big-Sean. The song I love the most by Big Sean to get me pumped and focused is: "In Tune (& Metro Booming) & Bid Bidness (& Metro Booming)"

What are three interesting facts about you?
1. I am one child of 7 other siblings.
2. The first place I traveled to alone was Japan and lived there for 6 months.
3. I moved to Atlanta, GA from Tacoma, WA alone with no job, friends or family and built my brand and business from the ground up.

What is your greatest achievement and how has it shaped you?
My greatest achievement is shifting my mindset, body, and soul to the woman that I am today. Writing & launching my best-selling book, "The Blueprint: The 90-Day Breakthrough to Shift Your Mindset & Transform Your Life." Which soon lead to my company: B-FIT Fitness, Branding & Business Coaching. Took a lot of risk and sacrifice. But all the SWEAT put in has been sooooo worth it. I am now healthier, more humble, more in-tune with myself and God. And not afraid of anything. If the idea is within me, I believe I can and will make it happen. One day and rep at a time.

If you could master one skill you do not have, what would it be?
WRITING CONSISTENT EMAIL COPY! This is, I will admit, my biggest weakness. I write them, but not consistently. Training & Coaching so much that throughout the week I at times neglect to send them out or send them out sporadically. I have made this a new priority within my weekly regimen. But still, at times I fall short.
